We celebrated Caleb's 2nd Birthday on Saturday, June 5th. Can’t believe my little man is 2yrs old!!!! We decided to have it back home so that it would be easy for all the family and close friends to attend. I will be very honest with you and admit that I predicted this to be completely hectic. I mean how was this going to work out? How was I going to get the cake there? How were we going to fit everything in our truck? What if I forget something? Do I have enough balloons? Will the decorations look good? …..ah the things that run through a mother’s head! It was actually perfect! Everyone pitched in and helped me throw it together. Caleb had a blast and really enjoyed sharing his special day with everyone.
Toy Story 3 was the theme and rightfully so since Caleb loves Buzz Lightyear! Shrek was his first choice- but it was merely impossible to track Shrek party supplies down without giving up an arm or a leg. What’s a mom to do? Yes, I am “that” mom who settled for his second choice because it was more accessible…. He spent most of his time at the party running around the pavilion with Madison, Brandon, and Jacob……and the remainder of the party was spent riding in the “Speed car” that his cousin Brandon brought to share. Somewhere in between there we managed to throw in the cake and presents. All in all it was a wonderful day and we made lots of memories. I am so thankful that Caleb has so many people in his life who love him. He is a very lucky boy.
